SABATTUS — After several days of uncertainty and a public appeal for assistance, the Sabattus Police Department announced Thursday that 46-year-old Erika Bonin has been found safe.
Bonin, a Sabattus resident, had last been in contact with her family on March 26.
Concerns grew as days passed without word from her, prompting police to suspect she might have traveled out of state.
In an effort to locate Bonin, the Sabattus Police Department reached out to the community for help through a public statement.
The announcement, which was released at 11:50 a.m. on March 29, requested that anyone with information on Bonin’s whereabouts contact the department directly and ask for Officer Fortin.
The police have not released details on where Bonin was found or the circumstances surrounding her disappearance and safe return.
They have, however, extended their gratitude to the public for their assistance in the matter.
