TROY — A single motor vehicle crash on Vermont Route 101 resulted in a total loss of the car involved, but no injuries to the driver, authorities said.
Ethan Barry, 27, of Newport, was wearing his seat belt during the incident that occurred on Feb. 26 at approximately 2:28 p.m.
According to the State Police, Barry’s 2019 Nissan Kicks left the southbound lane and collided with a support pole for power lines, causing a road closure.
The impact of the crash led to cables obstructing the roadway.
The North Troy and Troy Fire Departments arrived at the scene promptly and managed traffic while the obstructions were being removed.
Despite the total damage to his vehicle, Barry did not sustain any injuries.
The road was reopened once the area was deemed safe for travel.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
