NASHUA — The Nashua Police Department has apprehended Izaiah Escalona, 22, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, on multiple charges including felony Second Degree Assault – Domestic Violence.
On March 10, officers responded to a domestic assault report. An investigation revealed that an adult female was physically assaulted by her boyfriend, identified as Escalona.
According to police, Escalona allegedly struck the woman with his hands, strangled her, bit her face, and damaged property within the residence.
Detectives from the Special Investigations Division conducted a thorough investigation, leading to the application and issuance of an arrest warrant for Escalona.
In addition to the felony charge, he faces a second count of felony Second Degree Assault – Domestic Violence, three counts of misdemeanor Domestic Violence Simple Assault, and misdemeanor Criminal Mischief.
Escalona was held on preventative detention and is scheduled for arraignment at the 9th Circuit District Division Nashua Court today at 1:00 p.m.
