LUNENBURG — Vermont State Police arrested a 40-year-old man late Monday night following an aggravated assault incident on Commercial Avenue.
Troopers were dispatched at 12:13 a.m. to respond to the assault in Lunenburg.
Upon their arrival, they established probable cause to arrest Casimir Dziegelewski for the crime of aggravated assault.
Initial attempts to locate Dziegelewski during the early hours were unsuccessful.
However, police successfully apprehended him on the evening of March 11.
Dziegelewski, a Lunenburg resident, was then transported to the St. Johnsbury barracks for processing.
After the processing, he was lodged at the Northeast Correctional Complex with a set cash bail of $2,500.
The Vermont State Police have not released the name of the victim, adhering to policies regarding victims of sexual assault or domestic violence.
