CAMBRIDGE — A Vermont State Police traffic stop led to the arrest of a Cambridge man for DUI and cocaine possession early Sunday morning.
At approximately 12:32 a.m., police pulled over a 2011 Toyota Yaris on Rt 15 near the Deer Run Motor Inn for a minor motor vehicle violation.
The driver, identified as 37-year-old James Blinstrub, displayed several signs of impairment, according to troopers at the scene.
After a field evaluation, Blinstrub was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
He was taken to the Cambridge Fire Department for further assessment by a Drug Recognition Expert.
A subsequent search revealed Blinstrub was in possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia, resulting in additional charges.
Blinstrub received a citation to appear in the Lamoille County Superior Court Criminal Division to respond to the allegations.
The Vermont State Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
