WINDHAM — The Vermont State Police are on the lookout for a man accused of stealing a vehicle early Thursday morning from a residence on White Road.
Gary Clay Jr., 51, of Windham, is suspected of aggravated operation without the consent of the owner, according to authorities.
The vehicle, a yellow 2004 Nissan Xterra with large tires and a black and silver roof rack, was reported missing by its owner, Paul Woodruff, a 46-year-old transient resident.
The stolen vehicle is distinguishable by its Vermont temporary plate W00298A displayed on the rear windshield.
Woodruff alerted the police at approximately 8:28 a.m., shortly after the theft occurred.
As of now, the whereabouts of Clay and the Nissan Xterra are unknown.
The Vermont State Police – Westminster Barracks is urging the public to be on the lookout for Clay and the distinct vehicle.
