JAY PEAK — The Jay Peak Resort is set to host the 14th annual ‘Hope On The Slopes’ event on Sunday, March 3, bringing together community members in support of the American Cancer Society’s mission to combat cancer. The event promises a day full of activities, with the dual aim of honoring cancer survivors and raising funds for cancer research and patient support.

Participants who raise $100 or more will be rewarded with a lift ticket, valid only on the event day. This offer is extended to non-passholders, encouraging a broad participation from the community. The day is packed with various activities including a special auction, a bake sale, and the Chris Stuart Memorial Duck Race in the Pump House, where attendees can win a 2-night Ski, Splash, & Stay package for a group of four.

A unique highlight of the event is the “intention run,” a symbolic gesture of solidarity with those affected by cancer. The day concludes with a buffet dinner and an awards ceremony, accompanied by live music, celebrating the collective efforts of the participants.

Registration for the event is open, with a fee of $25 per person. This fee will increase to $35 on the day of the event, encouraging early sign-ups. In line with the event’s fundraising goals, individual participants are challenged to raise at least $100, and teams are encouraged to aim for $1,000. Incentives are in place for those who meet these goals, including a free lift pass to Jay Peak on the day of the event.

All fundraising contributions, including matching gifts, need to be postmarked by March 3 to qualify for awards and rankings.
