SPENCER — Officers responded to a call Monday morning from a resident on Paxton Road who reported mail being stolen from several mailboxes.
According to the Spencer Police Department, the incident occurred at about 8:45 a.m. when two adult males were observed taking mail.
The suspects were described as wearing black masks and operating a full-size U-Haul van with “$19.95” prominently displayed on the side.
The police have released stock photos of similar U-Haul vans to aid in identifying the vehicle used in the thefts.
Authorities are urging the public to come forward with any additional information that may help in the investigation.
Residents in the area are also being asked to review their security camera systems and report any suspicious activity they may have captured.
