WORCESTER — A woman was fatally stabbed in a Douglas St apartment on Feb. 14, prompting a swift response from local authorities.
Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 5:11 p.m. after receiving a call for an unknown emergency.
Upon entering the apartment, officers found the female victim suffering from stab wounds.
Immediate medical assistance was provided, and the victim was quickly transported to a nearby hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
A man present at the location was taken into custody by the police.
Due to the domestic nature of the incident, officials have withheld the names and identifying details of both the victim and the suspect.
The Worcester Police Department is actively conducting an investigation into the stabbing.
