ROCKINGHAM — A local woman was charged Monday with child neglect, domestic assault, and interference with access to emergency services following an investigation by the Vermont State Police.
Authorities were alerted to a situation involving a child’s neglect in the Town of Rockingham.
The investigation led to the arrest of 33-year-old Kerri A.
Yaqoob, who is accused of neglecting a child, causing pain, and obstructing the child’s access to emergency services.
The Vermont State Police, adhering to privacy policies, did not release the name or age of the victim, who is also a resident of Rockingham.
Yaqoob has been ordered to appear before the Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, to respond to the charges.
The court date has not been disclosed to the public at this time.
