MANCHESTER — New Hampshire State Police and Manchester Police Department teamed up for a DUI Saturation Patrol in the Manchester area on the evening of Feb. 11, aiming to increase safety by cracking down on impaired driving during Super Bowl festivities.
The coordinated operation resulted in 133 traffic stops, with authorities issuing 13 summonses and making five arrests for various offenses, including driving under the influence and drug possession.
Megan G. Elwell, 43, from Lawrence, Massachusetts, faces multiple charges, including aggravated DUI, resisting arrest, and assault on a police officer.
Elwell was detained and is scheduled for arraignment at the 9th Circuit Court – District Division Manchester on Feb. 12.
Adonis Delos Santos Carrion, 27, of Manchester, was charged with drug possession and related offenses.
He was released on his own recognizance with a court date set for March 11.
Antoine Robidoux-Hurtubise, a 20-year-old from Laval, Quebec, was also released on his own recognizance and is set to appear in court on March 11 on charges including underage drinking and DUI.
Local resident Shawn Christie, 27, from Bedford, was charged with speeding, disobeying a police officer, and driving without a license.
Christie is set to appear in court on March 18.
Christy Jackson, 40, of Manchester, was arrested on a warrant from Bethlehem and will face the court in due course.
The New Hampshire State Police and Manchester Police Department emphasize their dedication to preventing impaired and aggressive driving.
The Super Bowl Sunday patrol was supported by the New Hampshire Office of Highway Safety.
Officials urge the public to avoid driving under the influence and to always select a sober driver.
