ST. JOHNSBURY — A 27-year-old woman was taken into custody on an active warrant Wednesday night after police responded to a report of another woman with head injuries.
St. Johnsbury Police arrived at a residence on Pearl Street around 7:24 p.m. to assist a female with lacerations to her head.
Amid the commotion caused by firemen, rescue personnel, and police officers attending to the injured woman, another individual, Jessica Norrie, was found pretending to be asleep on a couch.
Despite the ongoing disturbance, Norrie remained on the couch, feigning sleep.
Officers recognized her and knew of an outstanding warrant for her arrest.
Norrie, a St. Johnsbury resident, was subsequently arrested on the warrant without incident.
Further details on the warrant and Norrie’s charges were not immediately available.
