ENOSBURGH — Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Feb. 10 where they arrested 59-year-old Ellen Richards of Franklin on suspicion of driving under the influence.
According to police, the incident occurred around 6:47 p.m. when Richards’ vehicle crashed in Enosburgh.
Upon arrival, troopers from the St. Albans barracks found Richards and observed signs of impairment.
After conducting an investigation, Richards was taken into custody and transported to the St. Albans barracks for further processing.
She was later issued a citation to appear in Franklin County Superior Court – Criminal Division on charges of DUI.
Richards was released to a sober adult following the processing at the barracks.
The court date for Richards to address the DUI charges has not been disclosed.
No injuries were reported in the crash.
