Brewster man arrested on drug charges following wellbeing check

BREWSTER — Orleans Police arrested a man on charges of operating under the influence of drugs and possession of narcotics after a wellbeing check at a local gas station Friday morning.

During the check at the Speedway Gas Station around 11:50 a.m., police discovered Connor Long, 37, of Brewster, appeared to be under the influence of drugs.

Long was taken into custody and transported to the Orleans Police Department for booking.

A subsequent search of Long’s vehicle uncovered approximately 14 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 2 grams of cocaine.

He is facing charges including operating under the influence of drugs, possession with intent to distribute Class B (crystal methamphetamine), and possession of Class B (cocaine) and Class E substances.

Long is scheduled for arraignment in the Orleans District Court on Feb. 12.

Authorities have not released any additional details regarding the incident.
