ST. JOHNSBURY — A coordinated operation by multiple law enforcement agencies on February 8 resulted in the arrest of Jose Rodriquez, 30, of Springfield, MA, on drug trafficking charges.
The Vermont Drug Task Force, together with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), and the St. Johnsbury Police Department, executed a search warrant at 714 Higgins Hill Road, St. Johnsbury, at 6 a.m.
The raid led to the discovery and seizure of a large quantity of Fentanyl and crack cocaine, several firearms, and U.S. currency.
Rodriquez was charged with trafficking heroin/fentanyl and was released with a citation to appear in Caledonia Superior Court.
Authorities indicated that further arrests and additional charges are expected as the investigation progresses.
