CRAFTSBURY — In a bid to shake off the winter blues, the Craftsbury Community Care Center has launched an exciting spring fundraiser, featuring a diverse array of sports-related prizes. This week, the center announced its raffle, which boasts not one or two, but seven unique sports experiences, all at an affordable price.
The raffle prizes cater to a wide range of sports enthusiasts. Highlights include two tickets to the Boston Celtics’ April 12 home game against the NC Hornets, a golf package for four at Greensboro’s Mountain View Country Club, ski lift passes at Jay Peak, and a membership or day passes to the Craftsbury Outdoor Center. Additionally, sports memorabilia fans can vie for a basketball signed by the Boston Celtics or a puck autographed by Boston Bruins star Pavel Zacha. For outdoor adventurers, there’s also a ski or bike rental from MountainOps in Stowe.
Tickets are priced at $10 each, with a special offer of $25 for three, allowing participants to target their preferred prizes. The Care Center, a non-profit residential care home supporting elders from various socioeconomic backgrounds, including those on Medicaid, has curated this multi-prize format to appeal to community members of all ages and interests. The fundraiser is crucial in helping the center bridge financial gaps and continue providing essential services.
Tickets are available for purchase online at craftsburycommunitycarecenter.org, from board members of the Care Center, or by scanning the QR code on posters distributed throughout local communities. Participants are encouraged to specify their prize choices when purchasing tickets.
The draw for all seven prizes will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 15, at the Craftsbury Community Care Center, located at 1784 E. Craftsbury Rd, Craftsbury.
