Johnson man arrested for assault in Orleans

ORLEANS — Vermont State Police have said they responded to a report of an assault on Maple Street in the village of Orleans on Jan. 30, just before 7:45 a.m.

Upon arrival, troopers conducted interviews with all parties involved in the incident.

Later, authorities located the accused, 28-year-old Tabarreon Burris of Johnson, and took him into custody.

Burris was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault and transported to the State Police Barracks in Derby for processing.

He has been cited to appear in court to face the charges.

In accordance with their policies, the Vermont State Police have not released the name of the victim involved in the domestic violence case.
