FAIR HAVEN — Troopers from the Vermont State Police – Rutland Barracks responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on Washington St. at approximately 5:33 p.m. on Dec. 26.
John Partch, 52, of Fair Haven, was accused of causing pain and/or bodily injury to a family or household member.
In addition to the second-degree aggravated domestic assault charge, Partch was found to have violated conditions of his release and an abuse prevention order.
Following his arrest, Partch was taken to the Rutland Barracks for processing.
He was held without bail and lodged at Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility pending further legal action.
The Vermont State Police do not release the names of victims of sexual or domestic assault.
The case remains under investigation.
