NEW BEDFORD — Two men have been arrested on drug trafficking charges following an investigation into a suspected drug delivery operation in the city’s south-end, narcotics detectives said.

Detectives executed a search warrant around 5 p.m. on Dec. 20 at a residence located at 98 Grinnell St.

The search resulted in the seizure of over 29 grams of cocaine, 38 grams of fentanyl, digital scales, packaging materials, and cutting agents.

Additionally, detectives confiscated $12,676 in cash suspected to be proceeds from drug distribution.

The individuals arrested at the scene were identified as Mr. Larry Pina, 32, who resides at the Grinnell St. property, and Mr. Antonion Marques, 56, of 1519 Purchase St. Both face charges of trafficking more than 18 grams of cocaine, trafficking above 36 grams of fentanyl, and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance laws.

At the time of the arrest, Pina had two open cases in New Bedford District Court for possession with intent to distribute class B and class A substances.
