NEWPORT — Are you interested in becoming a Justice of the Peace? The Newport City Democratic Committee will meet on Wednesday, August 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the Emory Hebard Building conference room (room 250).
The committee will nominate willing candidates to be on the general election ballot to serve, if elected, as Justices of the Peace.
Potential nominees must be registered voters in Newport City and be self-declared Democrats.
