1 min read

PETERSHAM — In a concerted effort to solve a recent larceny on North Main Street, the Petersham Police Department, in collaboration with the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office, the Massachusetts State Police, and other law enforcement agencies, are seeking the public’s assistance.

The theft, which occurred at a local residence, prompted an investigation that led to the discovery of a possible location of the stolen goods.

A Police K-9 unit tracked a scent to another residence on North Main Street, indicating a potential connection between the two locations.

Chief of Police, with the consent of the affected parties, has issued a statement encouraging community members to secure their homes and belongings to prevent similar incidents.

The chief also reminded residents that Petersham is a close-knit community and that the actions of a few do not represent the values of the majority.

The investigation remains active, and authorities are determined to recover the stolen items.

Community members with any relevant information or who may have come into contact with the stolen property are urged to contact the Petersham Police Department at 978-724-3232.

At this time, the department is refraining from further comments as they continue their inquiries.
