UNDERHILL — A man was arrested late Friday night after Vermont State Police clocked his vehicle traveling significantly over the speed limit on VT Route 15.
At approximately 10:08 p.m., a trooper on patrol spotted a vehicle going west near the intersection of Repa Road at a speed of 81 mph in a 50 mph zone.
After initiating a stop, the driver attempted to hide the vehicle at a nearby private residence.
The driver, identified as 24-year-old Jason Burgess from Williston, was arrested for excessive speed.
Burgess was taken to the Williston Barracks for processing.
He was later released with a citation to appear at the Chittenden County Superior Court on Jan. 4 at 8:30 a.m.
