Assault at C&C Market in Barton under investigation

BARTON — Vermont State Police are investigating a report of an assault at C&C Market on Nov. 16, where a customer alleged their vehicle was hit by a minivan and the driver proceeded to physically assault the complainant.

Authorities say the suspect is a black female, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, with long dreadlocks, and was last seen driving a champagne-colored minivan.

The incident occurred in the market’s parking area.

As part of the ongoing investigation, police have released images of the suspect.

The Vermont State Police-Derby Barracks are seeking assistance from the public.
