NASHUA — A local resident was apprehended on Sunday in connection with two armed robbery incidents that occurred in Nashua businesses earlier this month. The Nashua Police Department announced the arrest of Jordany Tavarez-Nunez, 22, on two felony counts of Robbery (Deadly Weapon).
On October 15, police were called to a Nashua business following reports of an armed robbery. The male suspect, brandishing a firearm, had successfully stolen money.
Detectives, diving deeper into the case, managed to obtain surveillance footage capturing the suspect in action.
Three days later, on October 18, officers rushed to another business in Nashua responding to a second armed robbery report.
This time, the male suspect displayed a knife but fled before successfully making off with any money. Once again, detectives secured surveillance footage that captured the perpetrator.
The diligent work of the investigative team paid off as they identified a potential suspect in Tavarez-Nunez. On October 22, detectives spotted him walking near his residence and proceeded with the arrest.
Following the apprehension, detectives secured a search warrant for Tavarez-Nunez’s home.
The search unveiled multiple pieces of evidence directly linking him to both robberies.
Having refused the service of a bail commissioner, Tavarez-Nunez is scheduled for arraignment at the Hillsborough County Superior Court- Southern District on Monday, October 23.
