Driver arrested for DUI #3 in New Haven

NEW HAVEN — A 27-year-old man from new Vergennes was arrested for his third DUI following an incident in New Haven early yesterday morning.

Police say they stopped to check on a motorist in the parking lot of the Jiffy Mart at around 1:30 a.m.

The driver was identified as Jeremiah Delorme, of Vergennes.

While speaking with Delorme, police say they detected indicators of impairment.

He was screened, placed under arrest, and transported to the New Haven barracks for processing.

At the conclusion of processing, Delorme was released to a sober party with a citation to appear in court at a later date.
