Killington man charged with heroin possession amid burglary investigation

KILLINGTON –– A 26-year-old man was arrested and charged with heroin possession during an investigation into a reported burglary at a local resort on October 13.

Troy Golfin, described as transient, was taken into custody by Killington police after officers were called to the Mountain Green Resort.

Witnesses reported multiple individuals attempting to gain entry into an unoccupied unit.

Police spotted a vehicle matching descriptions given by witnesses parked in the Mad Hatters parking lot.

Officers identified four individuals, including Golfin, Nichole Siliski, Chase Siliski, and Anthony Baker.

During their interaction with the parties, Golfin was arrested for possession of heroin. Both Siliski’s and Baker consented to a search of their person and vehicle, with several pieces of drug contraband located and seized.

Golfin was processed at the Killington Police Department and later released on a citation.

He is scheduled to appear in court on December 18 at 10 a.m.

The investigation into the original burglary complaint is ongoing. Killington Police Department is encouraging anyone with relevant information to contact them at 802-422-3200.

Additionally, local residents and businesses are asked to review their camera footage for any potentially helpful evidence.

Ptl. M. Hoffman is the arresting officer, and Chief R. Montgomery is overseeing the case.
