NASHUA –– A Nashua man, out on bail, was arrested on October 10, for allegedly hitting a vehicle carrying juveniles, threatening them with a rock and stick, and falsely identifying himself as a law enforcement officer, according to the Nashua Police Department.
Jeremy McKenna, 38, is facing three counts of felony Reckless Conduct, one count of felony Impersonating a Police Officer, three counts of misdemeanor Conduct After an Accident, two counts of misdemeanor Criminal Threatening, one count of misdemeanor Criminal Mischief, and one count of misdemeanor Breach of Bail.
The juvenile victims told officers that McKenna intentionally rammed their vehicle on East Hollis Street, driving them off the road.
They claimed McKenna exited his car, threatened them while posing as a police officer, damaged their windshield with a rock, and fled the scene.
Parents of the juveniles located McKenna’s vehicle nearby.
McKenna then allegedly struck the parents’ car, causing a second accident before fleeing. A detail officer in the vicinity stopped and arrested him.
Detectives confirmed McKenna as the suspect in an unrelated hit-and-run incident on October 8.
They also discovered that he was out on bail following an unrelated arrest on October 4.
No injuries were reported in any of the incidents.
McKenna was held on preventative detention and is set to be arraigned at the Hillsborough County Superior Court – Southern District on Wednesday, October 11.
