HUDSON –– The Hudson Fire Department was on scene at Sam’s Club on Thursday, responding to a fuel spill reportedly caused by a tanker delivering fuel.
Initial information indicates the source of the spill was the fuel tanker. A specialized cleanup crew has been dispatched to manage the situation, while the store remains open.
The gas pumps at Sam’s Club, however, have been temporarily closed as the cleanup process is underway.
In addition to the fire department and cleanup team, a supervisor from the local sewer department was also on site. They were tasked with determining if any of the spilled fuel had entered the storm drains, potentially causing further environmental damage.
The Hudson Fire Department is working diligently to manage and mitigate the situation. Further details will be provided as the situation develops.
