ORWELL — A 50-year-old man from New York was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Orwell on Saturday.
The crash took place on Vermont Route 22A south of Cook Road at around 6:50 a.m.
According to the report, Sheyalo A. Bwana, of Syracuse, NY, was traveling south on Vermont Route 22A, failing to stay within its lane of travel.
As a result, Bwana left the road off the southbound side before striking a tree and coming to a position of uncontrolled rest on the southbound shoulder of Vermont Route 22A.
He was transported to Porter Medical Center for injuries.
Vermont Route 22A was reduced to one lane of travel for approximately six hours while Earle’s Towing removed Bwana from the shoulder of the road.
