MONKTON — A teen was injured during a single-vehicle crash in Monkton today.
The crash took place on Lime Kiln Road, south of Monkton Road, at around 10:40 a.m.
According to the report, an 18-year-old from Bristol, was traveling south along a curve on Lime Kiln Road at an unreasonable speed for the dirt road conditions.
As a result, Russell left the road off the northbound side before striking a tree and coming to a position of uncontrolled rest.
She was transported to Porter Medical Center for a precautionary evaluation.
Troopers were assisted on the scene by members of the Middlebury Rescue Squad.
