NASHUA –– A woman who fled a traffic stop and struck a police officer in Nashua in the early hours of Sept. 22, was apprehended and charged after a pursuit involving multiple law enforcement agencies and a K9 unit.
The Nashua Police Department was attempting to stop a vehicle on Route 102 near the town line around 12:45 a.m. when the driver, identified as Brandi Jones, 33, fled the scene, striking a Nashua police officer in the process.
LPD officers joined the pursuit, but it was called off for safety reasons.
Roughly 45 minutes later, a resident on Victoria Drive reported an abandoned vehicle matching the description of Jones’s vehicle.
Responding officers, along with Officer Ribeiro and his K9 partner Ammo, traced a path through several yards and wooded areas onto Mammoth Road.
Upon encountering the officers, Jones immediately surrendered.
Jones was charged with loitering or prowling, criminal trespass, and five electronic bench warrants. She was subsequently handed over to the Nashua Police Department, where she faces additional charges.
