SWANTON — Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a truck that was involved in a theft in Swanton yesterday.
Authorities say they were notified of a theft of over $700 in diesel fuel at the Champlain Farms Store on First Street at around 10:30 a.m.
Police say a trucker operating a grey Freightliner towing a white trailer drove off without paying and entered onto I-89 traveling north.
Local, federal, and state law enforcement authorities were notified and attempted, without success, to locate the truck.
State Police are investigating and looking for additional information.
