WINDHAM –– A three-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 93 southbound resulted in serious injuries and a highway shutdown on Sunday.
At approximately 9:45 p.m., New Hampshire State Police received a report of the crash in the area of mile marker 7.8 in Windham.
Preliminary investigations reveal that a Toyota 4-Runner collided with the backend of a Honda Civic, causing the Civic to spin out of control.
It was then hit by a pickup truck and shoved off the road.
The 4-Runner lost control and rolled over into the right breakdown lane, while the pickup truck also lost control and rolled onto its side, blocking the middle lanes.
The driver and passenger of the Civic were transported to the Elliot Hospital in Manchester with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
No injuries were reported by occupants of the other vehicles.
The crash led to a shutdown of all lanes on the highway for about an hour while emergency crews investigated and cleared the vehicles.
