HAMPTON –– The Hampton Police Department is investigating a series of tire slashings that occurred in the early morning hours of Monday, September 4.
At approximately 12:57 a.m., police received reports of multiple vehicles with vandalized tires in a parking lot off Ashworth Avenue. Officers responding to the scene found nine vehicles with slashed tires.
Video surveillance from the area captured an unidentified suspect puncturing numerous tires.
The identification process for this individual is ongoing, according to the police department.
As the investigation is still in its early stages, the police have released limited information about the incidents.
