CABOT — A 30-year-old man was arrested following an incident in Cabot on August 21.
Authorities say they were notified of a theft of an ATV from Taylor Way at around 5:00 p.m.
The stolen ATV was spotted numerous times in the Marshfield/Cabot area the following day.
On Saturday, police responded to a call that the stolen ATV crashed on Walbridge Road.
The driver, identified as Daniel Abbott Jr, of Cabot, fled the scene on foot.
Troopers responded to the scene and ascertained the location of Abbott Jr with the assistance of witnesses.
He was located at a nearby residence and taken into custody for the charges of aggravated operation without the owners consent, leaving the scene of an accident, and negligent operation.
He was issued a citation and transported to the Northeast Correctional Complex in Saint Johnsbury.
