BRIDPORT — A 54-year-old man from Georgia was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Bridport today.
The crash took place on Vermont Route 22a, in the area of North Cream Hill Road, at around 1:00 p.m.
According to the report, Kelvin Willis told police that he was traveling north when a gray passenger car traveling south crossed the center line and entered his lane.
Willis told police that he veered off the road to avoid the passenger car in his lane.
Willis was unable to navigate back onto the road due to a steep shoulder and came to a position of uncontrolled rest in a wooded area off the road.
Willis told police that the gray passenger car did not stop.

Vermont Route 22a in the area of the incident was completely closed for approximately 45 minutes.
