MANCHESTER –– A 48-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a double stabbing outside a local club last month, according to the Manchester Police Department.
Rudy Vasquez, of Manchester, was taken into custody early Tuesday morning and is facing charges related to the violent altercation that occurred outside the Pericles Club on July 1.
Two male victims reported the incident to police after walking into Elliot Hospital with stab wounds.
They informed authorities that the attack happened as they were leaving the club and headed back to their truck.
An altercation ensued with an unidentified man in the parking lot who then stabbed them both.
Despite their injuries, the victims managed to get back into their truck and drive themselves to the hospital. Both victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Upon investigating the incident, police identified Vasquez as the suspect.
He was charged with two counts of first-degree assault. Authorities also discovered that Vasquez is a convicted felon and added a charge of felon in possession of a dangerous weapon.
Vasquez is set to be arraigned later today in Hillsborough Superior Court North.
