SHEFFIELD — A 37-year-old man from Massachusetts was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Sheffield today.
The crash took place on I-91 south at around 12:30 p.m.
According to the report, there had been sporadic torrential rain in the area.
The driver, Timothy Caplice, of Shelburne Falls, MA, hydroplaned his 2016 Nissan Rogue as a result of the heavy rainfall in the area.
The Nissan exited the east side of the road and hit several trees before coming to rest.
Caplice was not injured as a result of the crash.
