DERBY — The Vermont State Police are investigating a series of burglaries at the Affordable Self Storage facility on Beebe Road in Derby.

Police believe the burglary took place between July 9 and July 17. During the investigation, officers discovered that three other storage units at the same location were missing their locks, with remnants of a broken lock found outside one of the units.

Evidence, believed to have been left behind by the intruder, was collected from the scene and will be sent to the Vermont Forensics Laboratory for analysis.

Additional hunting and fishing equipment has also been recovered in separate criminal investigations by area law enforcement. Investigators say they are exploring possible connections between this equipment and the storage unit thefts. They are also examining if these thefts are linked to other recent storage unit burglaries in the area.
