RUTLAND — A 60-year-old man was arrested for DUI following an incident in Rutland today.
Authorities say they were notified of an assault on Lester Lane at around 5:40 p.m.
While investigating the incident, Shawn Stevens, of Rutland, displayed multiple signs of impairment and was screened for driving under the influence.
Stevens was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence and transported to the Vermont State Police Rutland barracks where he was processed.
He was released with a citation to appear in court.
Police say the investigation into the assault is still ongoing.
