NASHUA — A Derry man was arrested on charges related to the distribution of child sexual abuse images, according to a statement from the Nashua Police Department.
Stacie M. Laughton, 39, was taken into custody under a felony arrest warrant on Thursday, June 22, 2023.
He faces charges of distributing child sexual abuse images, with three additional counts leveled against him on the same charges.
The arrest follows a report made on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, when Nashua police officers responded to a local facility concerning a juvenile matter.
There, reporting parties indicated that Laughton had been distributing sexually explicit images of children.
Detectives from the Special Investigations Division of the Nashua Police Department were assigned to further investigate the claims.
As a result of their investigation, a warrant for Laughton’s arrest was applied for and granted.
Laughton was held on preventative detention and is due to be arraigned at the Hillsborough Superior Court-South on June 23, 2023.
