NASHUA — A Nashua woman was arrested for felony theft by deception and forgery after attempting to cash a fake check at a local bank yesterday.
Officers responded to TD Bank on Daniel Webster Highway after receiving a report of a female attempting to cash a fake check.
The bank manager informed officers that the female at the drive-thru window was attempting to cash a check that had been deemed as fake.
Officers made contact with the suspect, identified as Samantha-Jo Tremblay, 27, of Nashua, at the scene.
Detectives determined that Tremblay attempted to cash a fake check worth $4,200.
Tremblay was arrested at the scene and charged with two felony-level offenses.
She was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in the Hillsborough Superior Court-South on June 22.
