Police chase ends in crash in Manchester

WINDHAM — A woman has been arrested after leading New Hampshire State Troopers on a pursuit while believed to be impaired.

According to a statement from the NH State Police, Trooper Ryan Harkonen stopped a 2018 Honda Accord on Interstate 93 in Windham at approximately 3:23 a.m. on April 16, for speeding and multiple lane control violations.

As Trooper Harkonen approached the passenger side of the vehicle, he observed the driver, identified as 24-year-old Genesis Quezada of Haverhill, Massachusetts, place the vehicle back into drive.

Quezada then fled the scene, leading troopers on a pursuit along Interstate 93 north.

The pursuit ended when Quezada lost control of her vehicle and struck a guardrail in the City of Manchester.

Despite the damage to her vehicle, Quezada attempted to continue fleeing but was stopped by troopers on the scene.

Quezada was transported to the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, where she was cleared by medical staff and found to have no serious injuries.

She was subsequently taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Driving while Intoxicated, Reckless Conduct, Disobeying an Officer, Operating after Suspension, Reckless Operation, and multiple charges related to failing to maintain proper lane control and unsafe lane changes.

In addition to the charges related to the pursuit, she was also held on $2,000 cash bail for two warrants for her arrest out of the 10th Circuit, District Division – Salem Court.
