LIVERMORE — A fatal two-vehicle crash in Livermore claimed the life of a female driver from out of state early Sunday morning.
Deputies, along with Livermore Fire and North Star Ambulance, responded to the 100 block of Canton Road at approximately 6:09 a.m.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash involved a 2020 Mitsubishi SUV being driven by Sheila Brown, 63 years old of East Stroudsburg, PA, and a 2022 Subaru 4 door operated by Kevin Gauthier, 30 years old, of Auburn.
According to authorities, Gauthier crossed the centerline and collided with Brown’s vehicle.
Gauthier was transported to CMMC with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Canton Road was closed to traffic for several hours while a crash reconstructionist and deputies conducted a thorough investigation.
