NEWPORT — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries reported in Newport this afternoon.
The crash took place at the intersection of Access Road and Crawford Road at around 1:45 p.m.
According to the report, a 15 year old driver from Coventry was on Crawford Road, attempting to go straight onto Pine Hill Road, prior to the crash.
Asia Smythe, 22, of Brownington, was headed east on Crawford Road, where she collided with the teen.
She was transported to North Country Hospital for injuries, police say.
The teen was not injured during the crash.
The eastbound lane of 191 Access Road from Western Avenue to Crawford Road was temporarily shut down follwoing the crash.
Snythe’s vehicle, a 2018 Kia Optima, sustained extensive front end damage.
The teen was driving a 2017 Ram 1500 which was damaged on the driver’s side.
