KEENE — Police say they are investigating a call to a local Target that was reported as a bomb threat this morning.
The incident took place at around 8:40 a.m.
Police say an unidentified man called the business on Ash Brook Road and reported that he had placed a bomb within the store.
Management of the store opted to begin evacuating shoppers and employees and notified the police.
Keene Police, with the assistance of a NH State Police K-9 unit, conducted a thorough search of the building with nothing suspicious discovered.
With the assistance of other agencies across the state and management at Target, police were able to determine that the call was a hoax and that the lives of employees and customers were never in danger.
Anyone who has further information is asked to call the Keene Police Department at 603-357-9813.
