WINDHAM — A 16-year-old from Massachusetts was arrested in Windham on Friday.
Authorities say they were notified of an “Onstar” alert involving a stolen vehicle out of Woburn, Mass.
The vehicle was reported to be in the area of Indian Rock Road and Range Road.
Police say they responded to the area and located the stolen vehicle in the parking lot of the Country Shoppes at 58 Range Road.
Officers determined there was one man in the vehicle and ordered him to step out.
As the individual stepped from the vehicle, he attempted to flee on foot from the officers.
After a short foot pursuit, officers located the individual behind a residence on Woodvue Road and he was taken into custody without incident.
The juvenile was later released to his parents and is facing multiple charges to include felony
receiving stolen property.
