MANCHESTER — Police are investigating a stabbing that took place in Manchester on Wednesday.
Authorities say they were notified that a man was at Catholic Medical Center at around 8:30 p.m. being treated for stab wounds.
Police spoke to a 34-year-old man who told them that he had been walking in the area of North Hampshire Lane, between Dow and Fir Street,when he was approached by an unknown man who asked him for money.
The victim told police that he took out his wallet, and when he did, the suspect took it and ran.
The victim was able to drive himself to the hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening stab wound.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’8” tall, with a medium build.
He was wearing a black jacket and pants and was clean-shaven.
