SHAFTSBURY — A 40-year-old man from Bennington was arrested following an incident in Shaftsbury on Sunday.
Authorities say they were notified of a be on the lookout for a Dorr Oil truck which was being operated all over the road on US Route 7 at around 9:30 p.m.
Police say they located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Geoffrey Sauer, was taken into custody for DUI #1, negligent operation, and possession of the stolen property.
Sauer was later processed at the Shaftsbury State Police barracks and released with a citation to appear in court on February 27.
