ORWELL — A 56-year-old man was cited for domestic assault following an incident in Orwell on Friday.
Authorities say they were notified of an incident that occurred earlier that day at a home on Vermont Route 22A at around 5:50 p.m.
Police allege that Wayne Mahoney, of Orwell, attempted to cause bodily injury to a household member.
Mahoney came to the New Haven barracks that evening.
He was conditionally released with a citation to appear in court.
